THE RIG   An Industrial Ecolodge

The facility will serve as the southernmost base of operations for volunteer environmental excursions while promoting education, conservation, restoration and enjoyment of one of Louisiana's most threatened and most precious natural resources - the coastal saltwater marsh.

The project will capitalize on one of the fastest growing trends in the travel industry - Voluntourism.

RESTORATION INITIATIVE         GULF

As a fully sustainable design , the industrial aesthetic of The RIG is both paradox and metaphor for the coordinated efforts of environmentalist and the Oil and Gas Industry, working to save and restore the disappearing wetlands. The structure is intended to be a provocative statement that will stimulate conversation and raise awareness.
